Women in Science 2021 contribution by Nicolette Czarnievicz

To celebrate this day, different research centers in Donostia, including CIC biomaGUNE, have come together to present a joint program on the International Day of Women and Girls in Science scheduled for February 11 around the world. The initiative aims to make the activity of women in science visible, break the typically male roles attributed to scientific and technical activities, and encourage girls and adolescents to choose scientific careers. From that day on, different workshops, public talks, family experiments, virtual visits, etc. were organized throughout February. These activities were largely adapted to the virtual format due to the health emergency. In this context, Nicolette (ESR3) participated in the organization of the virtual visit to CIC biomaGUNE held on February 16.
