Background
Before I joined the ESR team of INTERfaces I studied Chemistry in Graz, Austria. I have done my BSc in the ‘Single Molecule Chemistry’ research group (KFU Graz), my MSc in the group for ‘Biocatalysis’ (KFU Graz) and my Dipl.-Ing. in the field of ‘Energetic Biomass Utilization’ (TU Graz, BIOS GmbH).

Hobbies/interest
I am enthusiastic about music and listen to as much Rock, Metal, Swing, Blues and classical music as possible. In addition to over forty live acts that I enjoyed last year alone, I have fun spending my time dancing Salsa, Bachata Dominicana and Rueda di Casino. I like ballroom dancing as well, but honestly, I am a little rusty. Due to my constant curiosity, I always try new activities and love to explore secluded landscapes. Of course, as a real Austrian, my heart is also tied to my skis and the mountains!

What is the most useless talent you have?
I can wiggle my ears – really not very helpful, but fun. 🙂

Where is the worst smelling place you have been?
The worst smell I ever had to endure outside the lab was at school, when a rotten-octopus-based stink bomb prank went horribly wrong.

What ridiculous thing has someone tricked you into doing or believing?
A very twisted mind – going with the initials PP – tricked me into believing that no one ever has tricked me into believing something ridiculous … which in itself may seem absurd.

About which topics could you talk for hours?
Minerals, Whiskey, Dancing and Epistemology
