PhD defense Jakub Kornecki

INTERfaces is happy to announce the date for a further defense in the frame of our project.

ESR08 Jakub Kornecki, who conducted his PhD at CIC biomaGUNE, San Sebastián, Spain and CASCAT GmbH, Straubing, Germany, will undertake his defense titled ‘Development of Sustainable Heterogeneous Biocatalysts for the redox valorization of HMF’ on April 10th 2025 at 12:00 o’clock at the Department of Chemistry, University of the Basque Country.

We are looking forward to see him present his results of the intense years of research during his PhD and would like to invite you to join, unfortunately only in person but we will cheer for him in the distance.

The PhD committee will consist of the following three members:

• Prof. Ass. Eider San Sebastián – Secretary of the committee
• Dr. Alexey Volkov – Vocal of the committee
