INTERfaces at MECP2020+1
Milica Milić (ESR14) brings back two prizes from the Falling Walls Lab MSCA 2021! Her pitch on her PhD project was awarded with third place from the jury among the 15 finalists. Milica also won the popular vote, which also brought her the Audience Award. This year’s Falling Walls Lab MSCA was held
Our team was again very active during this years MECP2020+1 where our fellow Karishma Shah (ESR12) presented her poster on “Evaluation of an efficient NAD+ regeneration system by a comparative study of chemical and biocatalysts”. Furthermore, Harald Gröger (PI, Bielefeld University) was an invited speaker in Session 2 – Chemo-Enzymatic cascades, and Per Berglund (PI, KTH) and Zvjezdana Findrik Blažević (External Advisory Board Member, University of Zagreb) gave talks in this great conference. The MECP-conference series brings together biologists, chemists and engineers from academia and industry to share their knowledge and break new ground in the field of multi-step enzyme catalysis. MECP2020+1, which took place from 13-17th of September 2021 online, highlighted recently identified novel catalysts and catalytic combinations to synthesize chemical products.
