The UPV/EHU has been recognized as International Excellence Campus by the Spanish Government, placing it among the world’s 500 top universities, according to Shanghai Ranking. The region’s success and scientific and technological progress are underpinned by UPV/EHU, a vibrant 30-year-old institution with 45,000 students, 5,000 world-class academic staff and state-of-the-art facilities distributed throughout 20 centers in its 3 campuses. More than 100 projects were granted in H2020, including 6 ERC grants. Up to October 2019, the UPV/EHU is the beneficiary of 28 MSC-IF (7 GF and 21 EF) and 25 collaborative MSCA projects (13 ITN and 12 RISE), ten of them coordinated by the UPV/EHU. The UPV/EHU has been beneficiary of 6 Jean Monnet and 7 KA2 Strategic Partnerships, 2 KA2 Capacity Building and 2 Sports under Erasmus Plus programme. The UPV/EHU has participated in more than 100 research projects both communitarian (Interreg, EraNet) and international. Most of the projects are in the field of Nanosciences, Nanotechnologies, Materials and new production technologies (NMP) followed by projects in the area of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and Health. The UPV/EHU has front-line technical and human resources and offer research support at the highest level. Technologies available include Microscopy, X-Ray, NMR, radiochemistry facilities, genomics and proteomics, scientific computing service, etc. The UPV/EHU is participating in the project by providing the enrolment and guidelines for doctorates.
