Background
My journey started in Crete, with my Diploma in the Department of Materials Science and Technology, an interdisciplinary undergraduate program focusing on the preparation, properties, use and applications of materials.
My Master was in the program “Isolation and Synthesis of Natural Products with Biological Activities” at the Chemistry Department of University of Crete. During my thesis I investigated different biocatalytic reactions that give access to optically pure compounds with biological properties.
Hobbies/interest
My personal interests include photography and drawing. It seems that I like anything creative and thus cooking (recommended by TripAdvisor) couldn’t be out of my hobbies list. Furthermore, I really enjoy travelling around the world and meeting different cultures, architectures, ideas, people.
What is the most useless talent you have?
Open beer or refreshment bottle with my teeth. I don’t know if many people can do that but I do know it is useless.
Where is the worst smelling place you have been?
Metro in Athens during summertime, with a temperature > 35oC and crowded. You try desperately to get some fresh air from the windows but it is so crowded that access is denied. It is an experience you cannot easily forget about.
What ridiculous thing has someone tricked you into doing or believing?
My friends once made me believe that there is an amazing old movie with a really ridiculous title for which I was searching around 1 hour until I realize that it was only a joke. To my defense, there are a lot of movies with strange titles, so although I got suspicious in the beginning I did search for this non-existing movie.

About ideas. Old or new. Others’ or mine.
